Josephine Wine Bar

Wine Bars seem to be all the rage in the Holy City right now, and for good reason. Our Tastemakers crew was invited into Spring Streets’s newest gem Josephine Wine Bar to sample their new Happy Hour menu + some other favorites from their regular menu. Josephine’s elevated food, approachable wines and refined yet relaxed atmosphere won us over for an unbeatable Thursday night.
Available from 4:30-6:30 pm every Monday-Friday, Josephine Wine Bar’s new Happy Hour menu is home to four rotating apps all ranging in price from $5-8, in addition to a $5 sparkling, white, rose or red wine of the day and $8 “cocktail du jour.” Highlights included…..
Warm Marinated Olives with spiced olive oil
Smoke & Mirrors: mezcal, grand marnier, pineapple-jalapeno syrup, fresh lime, ginger, egg white
Peach Bourbon Blackberry Smash: peach infused four roses, blackberries, basil, demerara syrup, fresh lemon juice
Figs with blue cheese, sherry caramel & marcona almonds

In addition to sampling a selection of new Happy Hour bites, our foodie gang was given some regular menu items to try including Buffalo Milk Burrata with pickled cherries, honeycomb and sea salt and Steak Tartare with cornichons and smoky egg yolk. We are so excited that Josephine agreed to be part of our charity partnership, donating $1 from every Burrata order sold next week to A21 Heart for Freedom, to help in the fight against Human Trafficking!

We all definitely plan on returning to try more of the menu and more of their premier wines. The Pappardelle with duck, bell peppers and serrano is especially calling my name along with the Crispy Baked Polenta with wild mushrooms. See you very soon Josephine!
