Rudy Royale

Classic Southern food will always hold a special place in our hearts. Stepping into Rudy Royale was like being welcomed into a warm embrace, where the aroma of fried chicken and freshly baked cornbread instantly made us feel at home. Nestled in the heart of the historic district, this gem serves up an authentic taste of Southern hospitality and classic staples with a modern twist. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is rustic, relaxed and friendly, making it the perfect setting to enjoy an unfussy meal with friends.
We started with a round of fun cocktails, setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. We sipped on the refreshing non-alcoholic Blackberry Fizz and the Espresso Martini, topped with a delicious whipped floater and perfectly toasted marshmallow.
The meal was served family-style, allowing us to sample a variety of dishes that were the perfect balance of hearty and fresh.
On the hearty side, we savored the Cast Iron Cornbread, smothered with plenty of honey butter and strawberry jam, Wood Oven Ribs tossed in a char sui barbecue sauce and Crispy Flounder, served with lobster sauce and heirloom tomatoes. The pork rind-topped Deviled Eggs and Rudy Royale’s famous Fried Chicken were each a massive hit as well.
We also sampled an assortment of fresh, produce-forward dishes, including Tuna Ceviche, served atop an avocado crema and a side of tostadas, juicy Watermelon with whipped ricotta and mint and Swordfish, accompanied by avocado purée, grilled romaine and a smoky chipotle vinaigrette.
We rounded out the meal with the delicious Strawberrry Shortcake - light vanilla whipped cream and fresh strawberries sandwiched between two brown sugar pound cakes.
From May 24 - June 24, Rudy Royale is generously donating $1 from every Deviled Egg sold to our Q2 partner Kids on Point, supporting their year-round education and life-readiness programs for children in underserved communities.
