Macintosh

So, who’s been to Macintosh? I can't believe it took me so long to go! Last week, Macintosh hosted the TastemakersCHS crew at their beautiful restaurant on King Street where we got to enjoy the back patio. The weather was PERFECT, the company was engaging, and the food was delicious! We started our evening with a glass of Rosé, because...we live in Charleston, duh!

After cheering to the beautiful evening, we watched as Chef Jeremiah Bacon created our first meal right before our eyes. In just a few minutes we were feasting on Pastrami Beef Belly Sliders...and I probably could have eaten 10 they were so good!

Next up were the Salt Roasted Beets! They were served on a toothpick with strawberries and goat cheese...a combo I never would have imagined, but one that couldn’t be more perfect!

It just keeps getting better and better. Chef Bacon then delivered his Pickled Local Shrimp...another amazing dish! I’m a shrimp gal, and this dish was light and refreshing...right up my alley!

At each Tastemakers event, a Charity Partnership is paired with a specific dish from the restaurants menu. For Macintosh, every Housemade Gnudi order will donate $1 to Ben’s Friends until April 12! Ben's Friends is an organization helping people in the restaurant business who are dealing with addiction. Check out the two types of delicious Gnudi we got to try.

Gnudi #2 was a Veggie version, which of course I LOVED!

We got to hear from Steve Palmer who is the Indigo Road Managing Partner and founder of Ben’s Friends. Steve wrote the book Say Grace, about how the restaurant business saved his life. I can't wait to read it!

Great company, great food, and great things happening over at Macintosh! I can’t wait to go back!
