Any meal at Ma’am Saab is bound to be a happy hour, but when we were invited to try Ma’am Saab’s new Happy Hour menu (offered Tuesday-Saturday from 4-6 p.m.), we knew we were in for a euphoric experience.

As soon as we stepped through the doors, it felt like we were whisked away to Pakistan. Between the mouthwatering aroma of spices, eclectic décor and flavorful drinks and bites, Ma’am Saab is nothing short of a delight for the senses.

We kicked things off with a round of their unique spritzes, which struck the perfect balance of flavors and were refreshing enough to quench our thirst on a hot summer day. We sipped on the Summer Blockbuster, a fruity mix of sparkling rosé, mango and limoncello, the Majesty Spritz, a bold combination of sparkling rosé, Campari, cherry and lime and the Kashmiri 76, a tart blend of vodka, blood orange, citrus and cava.

Naturally, we couldn’t resist ordering everything on the Happy Hour menu. Each dish was served family-style in traditional steel bowls, making us feel like we were dining at a “Nanni’s” house.

First up was the Samosa Chaat, a delightful combination of textures, spice and saucy goodness. The perfectly crispy samosas were served over lahori cholay (chickpea curry), adding a rich flavor and creamy contrast to each bite.

Then came the star of the show - the Smash Burger. Stacked with two smash patties, melty American cheese, house pickles, shaved onion and chaat sauce all sandwiched between a pillowy challah bun (which is all we want with our burgers from now on). No burger is complete without fries and the Masala Fries did not disappoint: fried to perfection and full of flavor thanks to the chili spice, onions, cilantro and spicy ketchup.

Ma’am Saab is generously donating $1 from every Kashmiri 76 and Summer Blockbuster cocktails sold from July 24 - August 24 to our Q2 partner Kids on Point, supporting their year-round education and life-readiness programs for children in underserved communities.
