Team Tastemakers was thrilled when Charleston’s Minor League Baseball Team- the Charleston Riverdogs- invited us to attend one of their last home games of the season and sample some of their new stadium eats + drinks with Doggie Dollars. To many, baseball means hotdogs, boiled peanuts and cheap beer, but Joseph P. Riley Stadium fans can snag some of the best snacks and sips in the 843- from boozy spiked beer shakes to a mouthwatering Chicken & Waffle bowl. Our foodie team was also thrilled to help promote the Charleston Riverdogs Concession Stand Promo with MUSC Children’s Hospital. During every home game of the season, one lucky kid was chosen to "run the concessions stand". The kid got to pick out any item they wanted and set the price for the rest of the game, with 100% of proceeds from that item going to MUSC. The Charleston Riverdogs raised $1,500 for the month of August as part of our TastemakersCHS Charity Partnership Program- to help fund the new MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital opening in October.
