CHS Coastal Charcuterie
By Charlotte Berger, @CharlotteBergerCHS
For our October Tastemakers event, we met up at The Schoolhouse Event Center in West Ashley to be showered in charcuterie boards of all sorts from CHS Coastal Charcuterie and treated to a wine tasting from the lovely Rachel from Charleston Uncorked. Our favorite Dry Rose and Sauvignon Blanc from NC-based Sea Salt Wines also made an appearance! Themed charcuterie boards (or should we say charcuterie tables) included a brunch spread, a dessert spread, a birthday spread and a GIANT 6 ft. three-tiered charcuterie tower. Needless to say, tables were overflowing with cheeses, fruits and sweets and it was hard to decide what to focus on. It’s refreshing to be overwhelmed with something so pleasant nowadays.
Not only were these arrangments mesmerizing, but each individual item was expertly chosen and deliciously paired to match the item next to it. If you have a bachelorette, fall gathering, bridal shower, birthday, girl’s night in or holiday party coming up- be sure and contact Kelsey as CHS Coastal Charcuterie has your back!
A wine tasting with Rachel from Charleston Uncorked would also be perfect for a fall/holiday gathering, bachelorette, or family reunion! She was so fun, friendly and informative- and we all left feeling more confident of how to determine which wines we want to purchase at our next grocery store trip.
In true Tastemakers style, we didn't indulge without a cause. As part of our Charity Partnership Program, CHS Coastal Charcuterie agreed to donate $1 from every board sold between October 23- November 23 to Our Lady of Mercy Community Outreach, which offers select free healthcare services, food, clothing and financial assistance to residents in need on James, Johns and Wadmalaw Islands.
