Going Places

We are so excited that Poe’s Tavern and Rusty Bull Brewing Co. both joined our @TastemakersCHS Charity Partnership Program. One dollar from every order of Edgar’s Nachos sold at Poe’s Tavern July 18-August 18 (totaling $792) along with $1 from every Belly Itcher Basket sold at Rusty Bull from July 11-August 11 (totaling $50) was donated! Combined we raised $842!

Why Going Places?

I had the privilege of meeting Katie Blomquist  the other day, Founder and Executive Director of Going Places- an incredible organization that works to provide disadvantaged kids in the Charleston area with their most basic childhood right- JOY. How? By providing them with brand new, high-quality bikes, locks and helmets.

Going Places started as a GoFundMe that quickly went viral from top news outlets like The Today Show and Good Morning America. To date, Katie has helped provide hundreds of underpriveledged kids in Title 1 elementary schools with bikes, and in turn with joy. Your Crumbs4Charleston donation will go directly towards a new bike for a a child in our own Charleston backyard!
